About Kandice

Kandice Cole is an author, certified Chopra Teacher, consultant, and founder of K. Cole Wellness.  She brings over 15 years of experience working with educational institutions, universities, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations.  Kandice attended the University of Chicago earning a B.A. in Psychology and M.A. in Teaching. She taught in elementary classrooms in Sacramento and Chicago before discovering new ways to utilize her teaching skills as a consultant. In 2019 she founded K. Cole Coaching and Consulting working.   with a variety of clients including the University of Chicago’s Urban Teacher Education Program, Narrative 4, BUILD Initiative, and PowHer Consulting. Kandice’s consulting expertise spans curriculum and program development; project management, workshop facilitation; and executive and business coaching.

Throughout her career and entrepreneurial journey, Kandice experienced exhaustion and burnout. She became committed to practicing self-care and used it as a catalyst to expand her own creative capacity.  In 2020, She founded K. Cole Wellness to create experiences for busy people to practice self-care in creative and playful ways. Her work centers on the intersection between self-care, creativity, wellness, and joy. K. Cole Wellness has designed creative wellness programs for clients that include Synctera, Wethos, Code for America, The Rooted Collaborative, Maryland Legal Aid, Grant Thornton LLP, and the HERWay Retreat.

Kandice is an experienced writer. Her writing has been featured online at Thrive Global, Code Burnout, and 30 Second Mom. She is the author of  “The Joyful Woman’s Guide to Self Care”

Kandice lives in the Houston area with her husband, 2 children, and 2 dogs affectionately referred to as “16 legs.”
